With nearly two decades in the fire service, Devin Strehl has built a career rooted in hands-on experience and a deep commitment to firefighter readiness. He started as a volunteer firefighter before working on an ambulance, gaining valuable experience in emergency response. In 2015, he achieved his goal of joining a busy metropolitan fire department, where he now splits his time between engine and truck company operations.

As a co-owner and instructor with N6 Fire Tactics, Devin specializes in forcible entry, fire control, rapid intervention, and firefighter survival. His deep focus on forcible entry and “thinking through the lock” has led him to study advanced bypass techniques, specialty tools, and mechanical advantage in building access.

Devin believes that high-quality training comes from realistic scenarios, hands-on repetition, and purpose-built props that closely mirror real-world challenges. His commitment to practical, no-nonsense training ensures that firefighters leave his classes with the confidence and skills to perform when it matters most.
